Do you have 15 minutes?
‘You cannot have a million dollar dream with a minimum wage ethic’
I find that if I give myself 15 minutes when I know I am short on time and really need to focus on the task at hand, there’s a lot I can achieve in 15 minutes! In fact, at our Salary Coaching Headquarters, we have a 15 minute huddle every morning to make sure we are on track with our goals for the day.
It’s crazy how much you can accomplish in 15 minutes. From overhauling a career to crafting a negotiation, recording a video, re-doing makeup and wardrobe, or rushing my girls through their morning school routine… you can squeeze a lot out of 15 minutes.
15 minutes is really in vogue these days… it’s even the new number in the world of fitness and cooking. New books promising amazing results from just a 15 minute workout a day. Cook this dish in 15 minutes and appear like the cooking goddess you always imagined you could be - or hoped you would be!
15 minutes seems to be the magic number.
30 minutes, just seems too long
10 minutes, well it feels too short.
However, 15 minutes feels just right and I feel like I can get pretty much most things accomplished in 15 minutes.
The Magic Fifteen
Stay with me, I am not going all ‘new age’ on your here… BUT when I looked into the number a little further it actually represents harmony, flow of energy and cooperation.
Don’t believe me? Try splitting the next hour into 15 minute segments and assign yourself a task to complete within each of the 15 minutes. Even if you do not achieve the task in 15 minutes, I assure you, you would have tackled it with a lot more focus and energy. Best case, you would have completed four tasks in an hour. The efficiency award goes to…
Do you have 15 minutes?
Occasionally I am drawn to an article or an event in my everyday life makes me sit down and think about how can I help women (aside from my work) feel better, self-reliant and confident to fight for their rights.
When I recently fell across Kirsten Bell’s video mocking the gender wage gap, although I found it funny, I could not help but feel sad and frustrated by the message too!
The video made me sit up with renewed determination and want to fight even harder for our cause. This is why we want to offer our free time for ladies out there who are still victims of the gender wage gap.
There are very few things in life that are FREE. However, we have devised a pretty clever way of not only offering you something for FREE but ensuring the magic 15 are included.
I have worked with so many ladies lately who are incredibly short on time, but desperately need a few pointers to help give them focus and on some occasions; confidence and self-empowerment.
We are so excited to share our 15 minute FREE call platform, where you can arrange a call with me or one of our coaches for FREE. There is no catch, you simply look online for an available slot, book in your call and I will contact you for a free 15 minute pep talk.
The 15 minutes we spend together will give you such a buzz. The pressure of time really helps you focus on what you want to discuss and, well, let’s just say I am pretty good at getting the information I need to maximize your time with me.
Everything is possible
We want you to use your free 15 minutes to the best of your advantage, so we have given you four things to consider and prepare before our call.
Where are you now?
What is your current situation? Do you want a new job? Are you happy where you are but want a few skills on negotiating a raise? Do you need some advice with your resume? Do you hate your job? Get clear on where you are now so we can help get you to where you want to be.
2. Emotional Stuff
Of course, our emotions come into our everyday lives. We are only human. However, you do not want to spend 12 minutes crying and leave yourself with 3 minutes to get the real issue of why you are so emotional. If your job has got to the point where you are sad and depressed, think about what you could do to improve it let’s use our time together to figure up how you get there.
3. What are your strengths?
Take time before our call to sit down and note down your strengths in the workplace and in your current role. I feel this really helps you understand just what you do have to offer your employers and it helps me get to know you and what makes you tick!
4. When the time is up!
We do offer one to one coaching... after all, that’s what salary coaching is all about! We love to work with women and empower them to know their worth and negotiate for it. There is no pressure to continue working with me, but if you need a bit more help to achieve your goal, let me know and we can work out an individual package for you.
We LOVE our 15 minute calls, the feeling of satisfaction that comes from helping women negotiate raises and getting clear on their career paths is absolutely priceless.
We cannot wait to speak with you. I promise it will be the best 15 minute career investment you make all year!
